Top 5 Fitness Apps for 2018

If you don't already have a favorite fitness app then you'll probably start looking for a new one soon.  I love trying out new apps, but then again I love apps in general.  I've tried a lot of fitness apps over the past year, mainly because I needed inspiration for my own, but I got a pretty good idea of what makes a good app and what doesn't.

I thought I'd put together a top 5 list - check these out!

Best app if you are starting a new fitness program or getting back into the swing of things.  There are a lot of apps with the same functionality but 8Fit perfected it.  The flow from start to finish is so smooth and it's so user friendly.  They have an abundance of programs and workouts to choose from and it's aesthetically pleasing as a bonus. Even better...its FREE!

f you want to follow along with full produced videos Daily Burn is the best.  Regardless of the type of workout you want to do they will have a video for it.  That's what  I love the most about it.  I stay motivated because I can do the type of workout that I'm in the mood for that day!

It's not free but its a very affordable $14.99 per month.

This app got it right.  Simple, easy to use and gets the job done.  Although you can incorporate cardio into your workouts, the main focus appears to be strength training. You can build your own workouts from a huge library of exercises, track your progress, view each exercise and watch videos to learn the exercises.  Excellent app for the self motivated.

One time $2.99

This app is two fold...great for personal trainers but also for their clients.  I use this app myself for my online training business and it's awesome.  Easy to use, full of options and easy for my clients to use too.  I can set up workouts and add them to my clients calendar in seconds.  Users can track their progress, join groups and challenges.  I can't say enough about Virtuagym!

I couldn't leave this app out mainly because it's one of the prettiest apps out there.  The photography is amazing and the videos, it's super clean and the videos are easy to follow.  There are over 100 workouts to choose from and you can completely customize a program.

It's FREE!

The best app is definitely all in the eye of the beholder and depends on what your primary use is or what your goal is.  I'd love to hear from you if you have a favorite fitness app!!
